Rare Earths from South Africa: Comprehensive report on "our" mine in Capital magazine

“A German company, of all companies, could play a key role in shaping the future of a mine – and decisively advance Germany’s raw materials strategy.” This quote comes from a well-researched and very informative article in the business newspaper Capital. The company in question here is us, Noble Elements, with our own mining project. This is intended to contribute to the security of supply of rare earths for European industry.
Supply guarantee for rare earths to Europe
As the article describes, we are on the verge of becoming the project lead for the financing of the reactivated mine in South Africa. We are currently seeking to raise 100 million euros, which Andreas Kroll believes would be money well spent: “In return, Europe receives supply guarantees, the industry must make purchase commitments, and the KfW ensures the financing—a triangle that we now need to close.” Because then Europe would have “enough rare earths for the most important magnet metals (…) for a decade, which German and European customers such as the automotive and supplier industries need.”
