German raw materials expert Andreas Kroll, CEO of Noble Elements Metallhandelsgesellschaft mbH, met with Kazakh Foreign Minister Jermek Kosherbayev for discussions on deepened economic cooperation during a high-level meeting. The focus was on long-term prospects for investments, industrial collaborations, and strategic raw material partnerships.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Kazakh state investment company and Noble Commodity Reserve GmbH, a member of the Noble Elements Group. The agreement establishes a formal framework for evaluating potential joint projects. The initial assessment and project volume agreed upon in the MoU amounts to approximately 60 million US dollars, underscoring the strategic ambition of the intended cooperation.

A central component of the discussions was the export of technology and industrial know-how to Kazakhstan. Specifically addressed were modern methods for the development and utilization of secondary deposits, efficient processing and refining technologies, and the structured transfer of knowledge from Europe to strengthen local value chains.

Both sides emphasized the importance of sustainable industrial development and the establishment of local technological expertise. Kazakhstan is considered one of Eurasia’s most strategically important raw material locations and continues to gain significance in the context of global supply chain adjustments.

“The exchange has shown that it’s not just about commodities, but about industrial capabilities,” said Andreas Kroll. “Technology and know-how transfer are crucial for creating long-term, peer-to-peer partnerships.”

Following the event, Andreas Kroll was also interviewed by Kazakh state television about the goals of the cooperation, global commodities markets, and Europe’s role in international technology transfer. The media interest highlights the political and economic relevance of the discussions.

Information on possible next steps and concrete projects will be provided at a later date.
